Why is location important when choosing a home?

Apart from the condition and size, location is one thing that cannot be changed. As we get older our requirements can differ, so accessibility and good amenities are essential when selecting a future property. Thus, the importance of location, while buying a home is at the top of the list.

A good neighbourhood matters

Neighbourhood is one such area that plays a vital role in the quality of life. A great neighbourhood must include medical hubs and/or healthcare centres, and other recreational areas to offer you wholistic living. Moreover, it must also have essential amenities such as grocery stores, shops, restaurants, and transport links.

The locality of the health centres in relation to our communities.

At Button House, we have the luxury of having a doctors’ surgery literally 20 yards from our front door. Hackbridge Medical Centre is situated within our building block. There is also a pharmacy less than 50 metres walk away, situated at the top of the street.

At Beechwood Park you will find the doctors surgery 10 minutes’ walk away. Stow Surgery, in Maugersbury Park, offers telephone appointments for when you don’t want to leave your home. This surgery has the added benefit of offering a prescription delivery service, so you can have your medicines delivered, free of charge, right to your door.

At Landale Court, the closest practice is Portlethen Medical Centre, with telephone appointments  also available. However, if you do need to visit the surgery the Community Ambulance service will pick you up at your front door, taking you to your appointment and driving you home afterwards.
