Apart from the condition and size, location is one thing that cannot be changed. As we get older our requirements can differ, so accessibility and good amenities are essential when selecting a future property. Thus, the importance of location, while buying a home is at the top of the list.
A good neighbourhood matters
Neighbourhood is one such area that plays a vital role in the quality of life. A great neighbourhood must include medical hubs and/or healthcare centres, and other recreational areas to offer you wholistic living. Moreover, it must also have essential amenities such as grocery stores, shops, restaurants, and transport links.
The locality of the health centres in relation to our communities.
At Button House, we have the luxury of having a doctors’ surgery literally 20 yards from our front door. Hackbridge Medical Centre is situated within our building block. There is also a pharmacy less than 50 metres walk away, situated at the top of the street.
At Beechwood Park you will find the doctors surgery 10 minutes’ walk away. Stow Surgery, in Maugersbury Park, offers telephone appointments for when you don’t want to leave your home. This surgery has the added benefit of offering a prescription delivery service, so you can have your medicines delivered, free of charge, right to your door.
At Landale Court, the closest practice is Portlethen Medical Centre, with telephone appointments also available. However, if you do need to visit the surgery the Community Ambulance service will pick you up at your front door, taking you to your appointment and driving you home afterwards.
What else makes for a ‘good’ location?
Shops – The Boxes at Chapelton is a great spot for shopping. Here you will find fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as plenty of gift stores. Across the road from Button House is an Aldi, with Sainsburys just around the corner too.
Café and restaurants – Our sites benefit from our on-site Slate & Grain brassiere and bar, where you can enjoy lunches with friends, and catch-ups over coffee. However, if you want to head out to eat, you will find numerous award-winning pubs and restaurants all within walking distance of Beechwood Park.
The neighbours - Our age-exclusive communities mean you will be living with like-minded people, plus our shared social areas are provide excellent spaces to connect with your neighbours too.
Green spaces - Parks and green spaces are hugely popular among house hunters. All three of our communities have access to green spaces, gardens, and beautiful parks all within easy reach.
Transportation options – In contrast to green areas, Button House also has the added benefit of being 5 minutes’ walk from the train station, where you can be in the centre of London within 25 minutes.
