The supportive living community in Chapelton will play host to the charity event and everyone is welcome to come along for a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake.

The event, organised by Brio Retirement Living, will run from 9.30am until 12pm on Friday 29th September, and all money raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Support’s funds for the growing number of people living with cancer across the UK.

As well as refreshments, which will be provided by Brio’s own brasserie and bar Slate & Grain, there is also the opportunity to view the facilities and homes and ask the team about the community.

Jess Nicoll, Sales Manager said: “We all know that cancer can affect anyone, so that’s why we want to help raise much-needed money for people living with cancer. You are guaranteed a warm welcome and lots of tea and cake as well as the chance to view our community and all it has to offer.”

Staff and residents are invited to a Brio Bake Off. Head chef Moira will judge all entries at 9.30am and the lucky winner will be crowned with the prestigious title of 'Top Brio Baker'. All baked goods will then be cut into smaller portions available for purchase. Guest can select bite size bits of different traybakes with a suggested minimum donation of £3 per plate.

Residents are also creating  some lavender crafts harvested from our quiet garden that will also be available on the day for a donation.

The Macmillan Coffee morning will be held in Slate & Grain at Brio Landale Court, Chapelton, Stonehaven AB39 8BF. 50% of all other coffee sales for the day will be donated.
