We learned more about the community from our colleague Sue Solovskoy – she’s the first person that customers at Chapelton meet when they come to find out more about the Brio life here…
As she looks across to the North Sea, it’s easy to understand how Sales Advisor Sue Solovskoy is a big advocate for Brio Landale Court: “What’s not to like here; we’ve got a beautiful view, a great community and quality buildings – it’s the perfect place for our homeowners to pursue a better, more independent life.”
Sue has been based at Landale Court since summer 2019, helping customers through the process of buying their new home in our coastal community in Aberdeenshire. “It’s a striking location,” Sue continues. “We’re at the heart of a new town, meaning there’s lots being planned here, with new homes and retail, amenities – all in a beautiful location. People don’t know too much about the broader area yet and we’re proud to be a part of what’s coming.”
Our Brio community is a part of that bigger picture, offering 57 apartments, 37 cottages, a bar, brasserie, landscaping and other green spaces for homeowners who are now beginning to move in; “It’s easy to see the appeal,” Sue continues.
“Our homeowners so far are people who want complete independence, to enjoy our community and the evolving surroundings, but also have that comfort and knowledge that if care’s needed, there’s a team in place 24-7 to assist them.
“I always compare it to a hotel. We’ve got all of the amenities of a great 5-star; a fitness centre, a hobby and games room, a homeowners’ lounge in which people can read and take some quiet time, a bar and a brasserie. These are all great places which our customers can use as much, or as little as they wish.”
Another big benefit of Chapelton is the green space and landscaped grounds in which homes are set. Sue adds: “Our homeowners want to live here knowing they can continue doing the things they love – including gardening.
“Many customers have reached a point where the gardens and surrounds of their family homes are no longer manageable, but that doesn't mean they want to give up their passion for gardening – far from it!
“At Chapelton, we’ve created spaces that allow homeowners to continue to use their green fingers; each cottage comes with a private garden space and there’s the growing garden, in which homeowners can cultivate their own vegetables. The communal area also offers a fire pit on which homeowners can barbeque, as well as exercise spaces and walking routes.”
With Chapelton being such a new community, Sue and our wider team have lots more planned for the year ahead; “We plan to introduce a shuttle bus service so we can take people out to nearby towns and beauty spots.
“Our fitness suite is up and running, but we’ll also be looking to add more classes there too; we’re engaging with homeowners and they’ll help us shape the calendar as our offering grows.
We’ve already got a yoga teacher lined up to come in and teach classes here – the first of many new benefits for homeowners looking to stay fit.
“It’s just so rewarding to be a part of this community and evolving our offer so that more people want to live their best lives here. I can’t wait to meet more homeowners as we move forward.”
