Bubbly pensioner Violet Teague has come out of retirement to join the sales team at Brio Retirement Living’s Landale Court in Chapelton.
Violet, 71, who has more than 32 years’ experience selling new homes in the Aberdeenshire residential market has joined Brio as a part time sales advisor.
The grandmother-of-two is among a growing trend of pensioners who are enjoying working part time in their later years.
Based in the sales suite at Liddell Park, Violet is helping people who are interested in buying a new home at Landale Court, showcasing the range of stylish properties available, providing advice on the care and support services and the lifestyle on offer.
Violet brings with her a wealth of experience of working in new home sales, in particular selling to over 55’s, having worked for some of the region’s biggest names in property.
The appointment of a new sales advisor strengthens Brio’s sales team at Landale Court and comes as a result of the growing interest in Brio Landale Court, where the show homes are now open.
Violet, who is originally from Aberdeen and now lives in Fordoun, said: “I retired two years ago, but I missed the buzz of selling fantastic new homes and meeting so many lovely people. I really missed the company. I’m a real people person and I’m still full of bounce. I enjoy helping people find a new home and guiding them through the process.
“Finding the right home in your retirement years is such a big decision. People are often downsizing from a larger house that may have become too much for them to maintain or coping with changes to their health, this might mean they or their partner are looking for the peace of mind that care and support is available should they need it.
“I have a genuine understanding of what people of my age are looking for in their retirement years and I look forward to helping them on their journey to the next stage in their life at Landale Court.”
Violet is passionate about helping people make the right choice and helping them understand exactly what Landale Court retirement community will offer.
Violet, who joined Brio at the end of January, is working three days a week and in her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and cooking.
Brio Landale Court will consist of 94 new one and two-bedroom apartments and cottages located in the picturesque new town of Chapelton. The first homeowners are set to move in from the summer.
The sales suite is open seven days a week, Mon-Fri 10:30am-5:00pm and Sat- Sun 11:00am-4:00pm and viewings are available of the show cottages and show apartment.
