As an integral part of the growing Chapelton community, we are putting our best foot forward to support a local school’s fundraising event.

The Friends of Newtonhill (FON) School are holding a ‘FON’ run on Sunday 14 July, starting just ahead of the popular Chapelton of Elsick 10k, at 10am.

We will be sponsoring the event for the first time and providing medals for all youngsters who cross the finish line.

There are two races. A 100m toddler dash for pre-school and nursery children aged five and under and a 1k race for children in Primary 1 up to Primary 7. Registration will take place from 9am at ‘The Cabin’ as you enter Chapelton, although pre-registration is preferred via email to  ChapeltonFONrun@gmail.com.

Entry for the fun run, which has been organised by Newtonhill School PTA and Parent Council, costs £2.50 for the 1k run and just £1.50 for the toddler dash. All the money raised will go directly towards the school.

As well as serving the coastal village of Newtonhill and Muchalls, the school serves the growing village of Chapelton, the location for our latest retirement community Brio Landale Court.

Karl Hallows, Director of Development and Sales of Brio Retirement Living, said: “Chapelton is fast becoming a wonderful, vibrant town with a growing community and we are delighted to be a part of it, especially when it comes to supporting events like this to help raise money for our local schools.”

Our Brio Landale Court show homes are now open and showcase the variety of layouts available which suit different lifestyles and individual needs, so drop in and say hello to our friendly team.
