Former armed forces personnel have taken a military approach to updating the interior design of our sales office on Stow high street.
Military veterans from the Heroes4Hire-Handymen service were drafted in to help build furniture and paint the office in The Square which opened earlier this month.
We teamed up with the organisation which employs veterans who have left the armed services and have been redeployed as handymen and women.
We are now looking to roll out partnering with Heroes4Hire across our national retirement village portfolio. Sites have already been launched at Chapelton in Aberdeenshire, as well as Stow-in-the-Wold and further developments are planned in Poundbury, Buckingham, Southampton and Chester.
Amy Deehan, sales manager at the Stow office said:
“Heroes4Hire have given our office a whole new look. They assembled furniture, hung blinds and painted the office. We’re keen for our maintenance team to work alongside them on future developments in Poundbury, Buckingham, Southampton and Chester.
“We’re pleased we could support the organisation by offering veterans skilled work and help the transition to civilian life.”
Nigel Blanchard, Heroes4Hire founder and CEO, said:
"Our handymen and women completed a full redecoration inside the Brio sales office, creating a fresh and bright work environment for all staff. We’re looking forward to working together in the future on sales offices across the country.”
The Stow-on-the-Wold development will include one, two and three-bedroom apartments and two and three-bedroom bungalows. Local amenities include the exclusive Slate & Grain brasserie and social and leisure activities and expert care and support if needed.
Phase one of the Stow site is due for completion in summer 2019 and phase two is on course to be finished in summer 2020.
