The town of Chapelton, which is home to the first Brio Retirement Living community, has secured a distinction at the 11th biennial Aberdeenshire Architectural and Landscape Design Awards.

The awards, which focus on the design of residential developments, commends schemes which deliver well designed and attractive housing, considered layout, incorporating landscaping and green open spaces and create communities as well as deliver on housing need.

Brooks Murray, the architects for Elsick Development Company which is leading the development of Chapelton, was recognised in the ‘building communities for the future’ category.
