Construction work has officially started on site at Brio Chapelton, our new retirement village for the over-55s in Chapelton, with the first phase due for completion in late 2019.

Initial ground clearing work to prepare the foundations for 94 new one and two-bedroom apartments and cottages has now begun.

Chapelton will be home to Brio’s very first retirement village, with many more planned across the UK over the next five years. Brio Chapelton will feature a bustling community hub, bringing a range of exciting new facilities to Chapelton; including the unique Slate & Grain brasserie - developed especially for Brio - and green outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy.

Brio Chapelton will form an integrated community within Chapelton’s first hilltop neighbourhood at Cairnhill. The town already includes more than 100 resident households, with plans to deliver more than 8,000 homes alongside associated amenities over the coming years.

The Duke of Fife, Director of Elsick Development Company, said: “Since its early planning stages, Chapelton has always been conceived as a town for all ages to work, live and enjoy. The arrival of Brio’s retirement village is an important stage in the town’s ongoing development, connecting a new generation to the existing community in Chapelton.”

With work on site now underway, a special information day is being organised for October 31st, to provide local people with more detail about the development and the lifestyle on offer.

Split into two sessions; from 9.00am-12.30pm and from 2pm-5.30pm, the Brio Retirement Living team will be on hand to unveil and explain the Chapelton offering. From individual property plans, pricing and service charges, to Brio’s hassle-free move service, as well as the flexible care options and the professional support services available.

The event will also offer the opportunity to hear more about the unique Brio lifestyle on offer in the unique town of Chapelton and the surrounding area.

Karl Hallows, Director of Development and Sales at Brio Retirement Living said: “Starting on site with our very first retirement village is a massively important milestone, not only for Brio but for the whole of Chapelton. We are immensely pleased that work is now underway to provide suitable high-quality homes and inspiring opportunities for older people in the area.

“Our information day on October 31st will hopefully answer people’s questions about this new approach to retirement living. We’re very much looking forward to telling people about the range of homes, the brand new facilities, and the lifestyle that comes with living here.”
