The first residential sales from a new retirement living provider have come a step closer to fruition, with the appointment of two new senior operational roles.
Brio Retirement Living, a new provider of accommodation, lifestyle and care services for the over-55s, has added Martin Crick as its first Operations & Commissioning Director, and Amy Deehan as Sales & Marketing Manager to join its burgeoning senior team.
Martin Crick brings a wealth of experience from senior operational roles with major hospitality brands in the UK and Ireland, most recently as Regional Director with the Intercontinental Hotel Group where he consistently improved the performance of a diverse portfolio totalling 38 estates.
Martin had responsibility for ensuring the overarching brand was effectively represented across all parts of the Group, and achieved consistent delivery against agreed KPIs - raising customer satisfaction levels across the estate in the process.
Reporting directly to Brio’s Manging Director, Martin will instigate the commissioning strategy for a growing pipeline of retirement villages across the UK, ensuring customer satisfaction is placed at the heart of all decision making.
Amy Deehan joins from Jackson Grundy Real Estate, a market-leading property agent operating in the UK and Southern Spain.
After a successful role as Senior Sales Negotiator for the Northampton area, Amy moved to Marbella to lead Jackson Grundy’s operation on the Costa Del Sol. Heading up an experienced team of estate agents, Amy had overall responsibility for all advertising, promotional events and social media management for the firm.
In her new role, Amy will oversee and manage the sales processes for all Brio retirement villages across the UK, reporting directly to the Director of Development and Sales. Amy is already overseeing a diverse campaign of marketing activity for Brio in Chapelton, Aberdeenshire, as a new marketing suite prepares to open in the town.
Brio Retirement Living launched in April 2017 through a £200m investment from Octopus Healthcare and Places for People, with plans to build around 2,700 homes specifically designed for the over-55s within the next five years.
Karl Hallows, Director of Development and Sales at Brio said: “Both new appointments are a welcome boost to our senior team, as we prepare to welcome the first customers to our new marketing suite in Chapelton.
“Martin has a strong track record in raising the standard of internal and external procedures, which will help us establish an enviable reputation amongst customers, staff and peers within the sector.
“Amy’s experience driving property sales will be invaluable as we tailor our offer to meet the specific requirements and expectations of older people right across the UK.”
Martin Crick, Brio’s new Operations and Commissioning Director said: “I was impressed from the outset by the standard of Brio’s product, as well as the reputation of its senior team and stakeholders within the industry.
“I’m looking forward to raising the bar for service excellence within the retirement living sector, to provide an excellent all-round customer experience across the UK.
Amy Deehan, Brio’s new Sales and Marketing Manager said: “Brio really stood out to me as a unique proposition in the retirement property market, with its vision to build inspiring and inclusive village communities right across the country.
“I’m excited by the company’s ambitions and look forward to helping Brio build its reputation to become a market leader in this sector over the coming years.”
Brio’s new marketing suite in Chapelton opens its doors to the public on Sunday, September 3rd.
