Work is well underway removing rocks and preparing the ground for Brio’s first retirement village in Scotland, at Chapelton in Aberdeenshire.

Phase two of Chapelton’s continuing development will create a new Brio community for the over-55s, as well as 250 new homes, recreational, green and commercial spaces in the town.

The latest phase will also see the creation of Liddell Park – a landscaped focal centre at the heart of Chapelton, which will border the Brio village.

Construction of Brio Chapelton, which will comprise 94 apartments and cottages alongside dedicated village facilities, will begin in earnest in Summer 2017.

A Brio marketing suite will also be installed in the town in September 2017, with the first homes scheduled for completion in Autumn 2018.

Karl Hallows, Director of Development and Sales at Brio, said: “This first stage of groundwork is an exciting milestone in the development of Brio Chapelton, as it paves the way for our first building work commencing on site.

“We’re looking forward to starting work on the homes and facilities that will make Brio Chapelton a unique retirement offer in the Aberdeenshire area.”
