Helen Kings (Chief Executive)

Helen has extensive commercial and property management experience and brings an exciting new perspective to Brio Retirement Living.

Helen is also Managing Director of Touchstone, a private rental property management company within the Places for People group, and has previously worked for some of the UK’s largest and well-known retailers, including Aldi and Somerfield. Her retail background means she really understands what it takes to provide an exceptional experience for customers, ensuring that they are at the very heart of the business.

She is passionate about making retirement living the best it can be and is committed to making sure our retirees enjoy a high-quality product and exceptional care and support when buying or renting a home in one of our communities.   


Stacey Phillips (Director of Operations)

Stacey has enjoyed a varied career, qualified in both the finance and technology sectors, working latterly as Director of Technology and Innovation.

Stacey has over 16 years’ of experience within the property management sector, which has been gained throughout her career at Touchstone Residential Property Services – part of Places for People, from retirement, residential management, student, commercial, shared ownership and BTR.

In 2023, she moved to Brio, and is now assimilating her experience, bringing a pioneering, customer-centric tech-first approach to the retirement sector, helping customers live their best lives in Brio Integrated Retirement Communities.


Simon Barton (Finance Director)

Simon’s understanding of the operational side of property management has been key to our success, giving our clients regular, accurate financial information as well as ensuring we meet all RICS compliance requirements.

He has a broad range of experience within the property management sector from retirement, residential management, student, shared ownership and BTR and helped ensure the financial bedrock from which we operate.

Simon is currently acting as Interim Managing Director covering a period of maternity leave.


Tim Weightman (Board Member)

Tim joined Places for People in 1997 and has over 20 years’ experience of development and investment in relation to the residential asset classes, including PRS, retirement rentals and student housing, and is responsible for the Group’s other investment properties, and its approach to asset performance and strategic asset management.


Andy Winstanley (Board Member)

Andy was appointed Group Finance Director in August 2017, having previously operated as the Group’s Financial Controller since joining Places for People in 2010. Andy qualified as an Accountant at Ernst and Young where he spent nine years in its North-West assurance practice.
