Jane is an experienced property management and development professional, with an established track record of leadership and expertise within the retirement sector. She has over 30 years’ experience in housing, development, property management, financial management and customer service delivery.
Over the last sixteen years Jane has specialised in the retirement market, leading the delivery of care services and setting up innovative service models.
Before joining Places for People to launch Brio Retirement, Jane held the title of Group Director at MHA (Methodist Homes); delivering housing, care & support services to 12,000 older people.
Karl is a Chartered Project Manager with over 25 years’ experience of planning and development within the commercial, residential, care and retirement property sectors. Karl is one of the founding Directors’ at Brio Retirement, the retirement living offer from Places for People, one of the largest property management, development and regeneration companies in the UK.
Karl joined Brio after six years as Development Director at Methodist Homes (MHA), one of the UK’s largest charities providing care, accommodation and support services for over 18,000 older people throughout the UK, where he was responsible for the delivery of retirement communities and care homes throughout the UK. Prior to MHA, Karl held a number of senior executive positions in management consulting, working in the private and third sector with a number of residential, care and retirement operators/developers.
Chris became Group Chairman of Places for People in 2010, having originally joined the Group Board in 2006.
He has chaired a number of companies listed in the UK and Germany, and is currently non-executive Chairman of Narec Capital Limited and London & Newcastle, a leading London-based mixed-use property development company.
David has over 30 years’ experience of housing, urban regeneration, mixed tenure and mixed use development, property and financial management, having led strategic change in both large and small organisations. He has been Group Chief Executive of Places for People since 1997.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a Chartered Member of the Institute of Housing, a Member of The Institute of Residential Property Management, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is Visiting Fellow of Cambridge University.
